Cayla had arranged another point-earning walk around the park today for 3pm, so this morning (lunchtime) since we needed some milk, I dragged hubby and Bubs (in his pushchair) out for a walk - planning to get to 'Earning' mode before I left for the park.

It worked - we went the long way round, and by the time I got home I was in 'earning' mode and had done a few more steps on top! :o)

Last I looked at the pedometer before I left the house it was saying I had 1600+ steps to go until I earned 1AP, and I know I have to have done 2100 to earn the first AP...

So. I get in the car, put my seat belt on ... and hear a beep :


The EFFIN thing had reset!


So, best I could do was add up the steps I knew I had taken :

6304 to get to earning mode
400+ before it reset (GRR!)
8423 after the reset (MORE GRRR!)

TOTAL : 15,127 steps @ 26.4in (stride length set on pedometer)
             = 6.3 miles

Point-wise, the only way to work it out is, discounting the steps it took me to get to earning mode (6304) and knowing that I have to do 2100 to earn my 1st AP point, I will base it on that and so :

(8823 steps)

2100 + 2100 + 2100 + 2100 = 8400 = 4AP

I gotta say, that sucks a bit considering I've done over 15000 steps :o(

It sucks, too, that I have to do 6300 steps before I even start earning! over 2.5 miles!

I just don't have that far to walk in my every day life! :o(

But hey - least I got off my bum today :o) yay me!
