Well I didn't do too bad up until 2pm, then at about 4pm I started mindlessly munching and also drank a huge glass of squash?! Why?! 

Who knows!

I was initially hoping for a 1lb loss, but then after the munchies I was hoping for a sts, but what I got was a deserved half lb ON.


And who's to blame??

Me! Again!!

And who can change it this week.....???

That would be ME!

Following on from yesterday photos of the marbles I need to lose...

I had a discussion today regarding viewing your weight loss as a whole, and not just concentrating on the individual number each week.

eg, if you lost 3lbs last week but are disappointed because you "only" lost 1/2lb this week. 
That is 3.5lbs GONE!
That is a MAINTAINABLE, REALISTIC amount of weight GONE!

That is AMAZING and you should be damn proud of yourself!!

It all goes back to the perspective, and how you view your weight loss.

So I took a new photo.

Instead of looking at those 36 marbles and thinking that is the 18lbs I put on over the last year, I will look at my weight loss as a whole.

Last weigh in, I lost 1/2lb. Making my total weight loss 29.5lbs :)

So here are my marbles :)

I have come a long way, and there is a smaller distance left to go. And I will do it!

Meal Plan w/e 29th Jan

Thursday - Garlic & Herb Chicken, New Potatoes and Veg
Friday - Sausage, Potato & Carrot Mash and Peas
Saturday - Ribs, Rice & Corn on the Cob
Sunday - Pork Steaks, New Potatoes, Veg and Apple Sauce
Monday - Cajun Chicken
Tuesday - Jacket Potatoes
Wednesday - tbc

Bit munchy this evening but not too bad overall I don't think.

Lunch was an open omelette/frittata type thing and will be had again :) yum! And I was SO full!
It was more pp than I would normally spend on lunch but it really did fill me up!!

Something I have been wanting to do for a while now was set in place today - in the form of a visual incentive for my weightless.

Each marble represents 1/2lb that I want to lose, and there are currently 36 marbles in the 'to lose' glass and 1 marble in the 'lost'.

18lbs to go and I have made a start :) that's good enough for me!

Can't wait to see the 'lost' glass filling up!

Forgive me, WW, for I have sinned*

Remember that fateful "I'm going on holiday but that's no reason to slack off on ww" post?? Back In October? MONTHS ago?!!

Well this is what has happened since then :

Considering I didn't weigh in for the WHOLE of December and the first week of January, I've gotta say I'm quite happy with that!!

If you compare it with last year having only missed one weigh in (Boxing Day)... :

... When I gained 3.5!

Not bad at all, I don't think! :) (not including the actual weight difference since 2012, obviously ... That's not so good!)


So we've been back at class for a few weeks now, we've been told all about Simple Start, Flex etc etc and over the last 2 weeks I have lost 1/2lb.

Not as good as others, as there have been some AMAZING losses (9st and 13st 13lb respectively at Tettenhall and Perton over the last 2 weeks combined - WOW!!!!!) ...

... but I'm happy!

This year so far, I have lost 1/2lb.

It's not as much as it could have been ... But it's a start :)
