Well, I'm quite proud of myself today :o)

I started this morning by planning my lunch and tea, while eating my breakfast. I wrote it all down, pointed it, and knew exactly how many points I would be using! Get me!



And then that was all thrown out the window when I decided I would go and meet hubby from work. In Birmingham. With an hour to spare.

Oops.

Well, I had a shower, got myself and Bubs ready, and rushed down to sainsbury's to get some cash and change for the bus/train.

So while I was down there, I decided I would buy us all a sandwich for lunch, and I got myself the BGTY Roast Chicken Salad Sandwich for 7PP for convenience of PP. And also I got a bag of Apple and Pear Slices for myself and Bubs to share.

Then, because I hadn't left myself time to buy a couple of things that I had needed for Tea tonight, I substituted a couple of things and ended up with the above tasty meal. YAY and YUM!!

The only thing that wasn't necessarily planned was the Cup of Tea I had in a cafe with the hubster. BUT i had sweetener and took the milk out of my milk allowance, so that was ok.

And that leaves the cookie that I stupidly convinced Hubby he should have at the cafe....

Which I stole half of....


BUT - since I had planned my meals, and knew what points I had remaining (9 at the time) I knew I would easily still be able to eat what I wanted without going over the 26.

And it worked!

So yeah.

I'm pretty proud of me today :o)


It also helps that I stuck to my 26 today, as tomorrow myself and the Hubbles will be going to Nando's for Tea, and then to the cinema and so all my weeklies will definitely be needed!

BUT - that's what they're there for!!! :o)

Also, I have plans to meet the lovely Clare at the gym, so that'll help towards a good week I am sure of it!

YAY! I survived on 26pp!

Started how I mean to go on :o)

I am off out on Saturday night for a meal and to the cinema so I have GOT to save my weeklies for this.

Day One down and ready for Day 2


Plan Changes

So as you probably know, the ProPoints plan has been out for a year now, and WeightWatchers have been watching and monitoring how people have been doing, and have decided that a couple of tweaks are needed.
These tweaks have now been applied to the plan, and I figured you may like to know about them :o)

The number one confirmed rumour about the changes is that the lowest daily ProPoints allowance has now been lowered from 29 to 26.

Now before you get a look of horror on your face (quick - fix it - i didn't see it yet ;o) ) :


THIS CHANGE IS OPTIONAL!!



Also, not EVERYONE who was previously on 29 has been dropped to 26, so you should check your eSource or ask your leader what your new daily ProPoints allowance is.

Now as I said, the change is OPTIONAL!! - if you are losing weight at a good rate - WeightWatchers recommend UP TO 2LB per week - and you are happy with your 29, then stick to 29! (you lucky so-and so!)

But if your losses have slowed, and you would like to give them a little boost, then you can drop to your lower allowance.

Also, the point change is interchangeable -

If your new allowance is 26, you can use between 26 and 29 dailies per day, as and how you choose.
So one day, you can have 26, the next 29 if you need to, and the next back to 26.

It's up to you.

The same applies for those whose points have now dropped to 27 or 28 - although those who have should not drop any lower than the amount you have been given.

And while I'm on the subject, I would like to point out to anyone reading this who is on a higher allowance : PLEASE do not drop your allowance in the hope that you will lose the weight faster!!

WeightWatchers have YEARS of experience and have worked out your allowance personal to your body's requirements.

After just FOUR MONTHS of the ProPoints plan being released, in the UK alone, WeightWatchers members lost
 3 million 9hundred&17thousand 
2hundred and 70lbs
 (that's the equivalent of 160 double decker buses!!)





If you follow their guidelines and the plan correctly, you WILL lose weight!

BUT - IT TAKES TIME.

don't rush it!

this isn't a diet - it's a lifestyle change 

The second change to the plan is that they have brought in the option of following

Healthy and Filling.


For those of you that were members on the old WeightWatchers plan, the new Healthy and Filling plan is a new version of the old Core plan.

Now I've never followed to Core Plan, and I don't have any plans to follow the Healthy and Filling plan - I'm just too damn greedy!

But here are the basics :


  • Eat only the green highlighted foods as found in all the programme material, your week, monthly magazine, shop guide and any other literature I have missed.
  • You do not need to count the ProPoints values, no matter the portion size.
  • Instead, you focus on your satisfaction levels - in other words STOP WHEN YOU'RE FULL!
  • Use your 49 weekly ProPoints to count any non-Healthy and Filling foods.

And that's it!

But as I say, I will NOT be switching to this plan on a permanent basis.

I may, however - at some point - choose to have a Healthy and Filling DAY.


You see, you can switch and change between the two plans as well - for example if you went to a friends house for a meal, you're not going to be taking over their kitchen weighing everything and writing down your points! 
So you may prefer to use the Healthy and Filling rules instead, and just eat until you are full.
And then, the next day you can revert back to counting the ProPoints










I am hoping this has been helpful and informative. Obviously a different style of post to normal so I tried to jazz it up a bit with pretty colours ;o) teehee

I honestly don't think that I ate 73pp worth of food, despite what is listed above.

But in the spirit of over-guesstimating, I am going to write-off my weeklies, and just stick o my dailies for the rest of the week.

Also, as i'm sure you're aware by now, the plan has had a couple tweaks, and some people's points have now dropped lower than 29.

Unfortunately for me, I am one of those people, and my daily allowance is now 26.

I understand that this is an optional drop, and that if you are on 29pp/day, and are losing on that, then there is nothing saying that you cannot remain on 29pp.

But, as I'm sure you've noticed, my losses are exTREMEly slow, so I have decided that I will adapt to the new 26pp/day and see how I go.

I am hoping that it will give me a kick start to getting to goal!

Since the change has come into effect (on source at least) half way through my ww-week, I have decided that for the remainder of the week, I will DEFINITELY stick to 29 at the MOST, but that if am a couple below, that I will not make any special effort to eat up to the 29.

But then after weigh in on wednesday, I will be on 26pp/day.



Exercise-wise, it has not been a good couple weeks for me.
Tuesday just gone, I could really not be bothered, but knew I had to make the effort, so I got dressed and drove down there, to be told that it is always closed on a tuesday morning from 10am-12.20pm because the school that the leisure centre is in the grounds of use it during their PE lessons.

This confused me somewhat as for as long as I remember this year, if I have been to the gym in the week, it has been on a tuesday morning at 11am because that is when my father in law has bubs!

So i was rather peeved to have to drive home again after finally managing to talk myself into going! GGRRRRR! :o(

So then I decided I would have to start going on a Thursday (the other day that my FiL has bubs for a couple of hours), but this Thursday was spent organising the final arrangements for bub's birthday party, and sorting out one of my email addresses as it had been hacked! :o(

So no gym for me on Thursday either.

Then yesterday would have been simply impossible, as I was up at 7am (did you know that there's a 7 in the MORNING as well?!?! amazing!) tidying and setting up for the party, and getting myself prettified and decent for company. then I had a nail appointment which unfortunately dropped on the wrong week as I had to have them soaked off before getting a new set, which meant over 2 hours spent at the salon!

Luckily my lovely mommy came over to help hubs with the final prep :o) thanks mommy!

then on my way back from the nail salon I had to collect the balloons, and pop to sainsburys to get some more serving platters for ALLLL the food we had bought!

I actually can't believe how LITTLE we have leftover, considering there was only 15 people there, lol!!

At least I'm not faced with having to eat it all today :o)

although unfortunately there are currently 7 cupcakes calling me from the fridge 0_0 eek! help!

I had sneaky peaked this morning and my scales showed a gain of a lb too, so I was actually HOPING this was right for once! I really wouldn't have been shocked if it had been more!

What an awful, awful week!

And I can't say I've overly enjoyed all the food either!

Am sticking to my plan of ignoring tomorrow's tracker, although I WILL track and count the points, they will not go towards my tracker for the next week.

I actually made the effort to go to the gym today - after finally motivating myself, and driving there, I found it was shut as the school kids were in there for a couple hours! GRRR!! (The gym is in the grounds of the school, so the facilities are used during their PE lessons) but still. How dare they interrupt my spontaneous moment of motivation!  Tut.

Ah well.
I am DEFINITELY going either Saturday or Sunday morning (Saturday will most likely prove extremely difficult as I will be spending the morning preparing for Bub's birthday party, before going to have my nails done, just in time to pick up the balloons and come home ready in time for people to start arriving! EEK!

Can't believe my little boy is 2 tomorrow!

Also will go to the gym Thursday when my FiL has Bub's for a couple hours (only times I can go in the week - Tuesday and Thursday, and now it seems Tuesday is out!)

Have GOT to get back into this.

I've got to get back on track, stick to my points, up my activity, and get this downward spiral under control!

I WILL LOSE THIS BLOOMIN' WEIGHT!!!!!!!
